Saving Energy: Cut Costs With Warm Roofs

At a time when we are all looking for ways to cut our energy bills, one place you might not have considered is your conservatory. Conservatories can be notoriously problematic in terms of temperature–getting much too hot during the summer and ice cold in the winter. At Conservatory Renovators, we specialise in warm roofs, a customisable solution to your conservatory’s temperature problems. By installing a warm roof, you can save huge amounts on your heating in the long term as the roof traps more heat.

What are warm roofs?

Conservatory warm roofs are a Leka system designed to provide improved, long-lasting insulation for your conservatory’s roof. This involves three steps:

  • GRP Rafters: Glass Reinforced Plastic rafters prevent woodworms and issues with moisture, ensuring weather resistance and durability
  • Celotex Insulation: Conservatory Renovators use Celotex insulation to ensure the best thermal performance, expertly installed for a snug fit.
  • High-grade tiling: Breathable Bitmet tiles let rain and debris carry through to the gutters, coming in customisable colours and materials.

When expertly fitted, a warm roof is a tiered system that ensures the best insulation for your home. How much can you expect to save on your bills, then?

What can I save?

Naturally, precise figures for what you can save will depend on your circumstances. A typical home can expect to save at least £400 a year on energy bills–adding up to £10,000 over the course of 25 years. Ordinary conservatory roofs are never really designed to be energy efficient. With our Leka warm roofs, though, you will not only get a more comfortable space but you’ll save huge amounts of money in the long run.

There are also other factors to consider in terms of financial benefits. The £10,000 figure, of course, does not even consider the rising cost of energy over that time period. Equally, the work will often pay for itself in the way it adds value to your property. In effect, a warm conservatory roof will pay for itself as soon as you come to sell your home.
